CVS, or concurrent versioning system is available for developers and those who just want to have the latest code. Code can be downloaded using CVS or by downloading the nightly tarball here. The CVS server is cvs.jimjava.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/jimjava login in and check out a copy. The code is primarily being developed in IBM's Visual Age for Java. Any patches for the jim.* package (gui and windowing) needs to be done in the VAJava environment. Other than that, patches for the plugins can be committed directly into the CVS server. Any bug fixes or plugins are appreciated, send them here.
